LISTA storage solutions for New York-Presbyterian Hospital's Central Supply Dept. are just what the doctor ordered October 07, 2013

Company

New York-Presbyterian Hospital, New York City, NY. One of the most comprehensive university hospitals in the world.

Problem

The new wing at New York-Presbyterian Hospital was one of the largest hospital additions in the United States. This wing serves as the home to the hospital's Central Supply/Sterilization department, which supports 20 very busy operating rooms.

Objective

With an estimated billion dollars invested in the addition, New York-Presbyterian Hospital needed a storage system that would make the most of every square inch of this very expensive space.

Solution

LISTA had just what the doctor ordered: a variety of workspace solutions, all designed to store specific items and/or handle unique applications. Eighty sections of the LISTA Storage Wall® System were installed in the central supply room, with individual units custom configured to meet different needs (using various combinations of shelves, drawers and roll-out trays). Standard cabinets with stainless steel tops, and workbenches with the Nexus Accessory System and stainless steel worksurfaces, serve as highly functional workstations in the sterilization department's "prep and pack" area.

Benefits

This large LISTA installation provided New York-Presbyterian Hospital with greater efficiency, maximum space utilization and smooth material flow.
