The high-performance heart of Panoz's 12,000 square foot design, maintenance and testing facility is a Lista storage and workspace system. The Lista system includes modular drawer storage cabinets, Storage Wall® systems, modular workbenches and more, all specified to meet the unique needs of each department.
For example, cabinets are used as room partitions to divide the workshop area into three specialized bays. Equipped with rugged butcher block counter tops, they create a space-saving storage system and functional, U-shaped work area. All aircraft-quality hardware used to assemble and disassemble the racecars is safely stored in the cabinet drawers in organized, customized compartments.
In Panoz's electronics departments, Lista cabinets with double-hinged doors protect mechanical fasteners and component parts from dust and debris.
In the parts department, where floor space is at a premium, Lista's shallow-depth Storage Wall system provides unobtrusive, high density storage. By taking advantage of the Storage Wall's combination of modular drawers, shelves and roll-out trays, Panoz can store an array of large and small items together harmoniously, including all suspension parts, uprights, bearings and drive shafts. Lista also designed a row of cabinets with a continuous butcher block counter top to function here as a service counter. In the pit area, six mobile drawer storage cabinets house all the small parts needed for vehicle repairs and maintenance during a race. | |
